New process I have been toying with. Started on a toned canvas color is irrelevant just depends on the mood you want to achieve. Than I start gesturing in the composition with vince charcoal, I than proceed with a sharpie and ruff in the details. Once the drawing is in place I add white highlights with gesso or acrylic paint or guash whatever is on hand. Next step oil glaze in a basic shadow tone. And than comes the underpainting blocking in color using an old masters dead pallet. The last step involves glazes with a double primary palette. The outcome for this painting. egh. Not the best but love the process and will continue working with it until I figure it out. Thanks for the views.
